Double-row spherical roller bearings can simultaneously accommodate heavy radial loads and axial loads in both directions. The spherical shape of the outer ring raceway enables mutual alignment of rings during operation which provides equal distribution of a load on the rolling elements, even in cases of slight fluctuation of the spindle or if the bearing planes are not correctly aligned. They are mainly suitable for rolling mill roll arrangements, gearboxes, railway carriage axles, etc.
